Two Lips and Tulip Festival
Our Dutch heritage comes into full bloom every spring and this year is no different. The 15th annual Lewes Tulip Celebration runs until the 14th of April and you can find out where they’re most likely to appear – depending on the weather – via a Tiptoe To The Tulips map from the Lewes Chamber of Commerce visitor center or you can get one from our front desk right here at The Beacon Inn. Alongside this, there will be walking tours, demonstrations, and even art exhibitions. (I’m on the chamber board, and we will have maps at the beacon also)

Lewes Merchants Spring Sidewalk Sale
Are you the kind of person who loves to browse and find a bargain? Then shop the sales at the merchants’ markets in the Historic and Commercial District. Due to take place on the 4th and 5th of May, you won’t want to miss out.
29th Annual British Motorcar Show
There’s no more exciting sight than our parking lot filling up with classic British cars, and this year Lewes is once again welcoming the Annual British Motorcar Show to town. You can choose to take part if you have your own classic British automobile, or simply come along to enjoy the wonderful, stylish cars that flock to the area. Due to take place on the 4th of May, but moves to the 5th of May in the event of rain.

Coastal Delaware Restaurant Week
Foodies unite! The Coastal Delaware Restaurant Week is back and will highlight some of the best places to eat across Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach and the rest of the Delaware coast. Running between the 4th and 9th of June, it’s a great way to get your hands on the best flavors in the area. You’ll also be supporting a great cause as some of the proceeds go to help local first responder groups and military institutions.
Mid Atlantic Sea Glass and Coastal Arts Festival
Drawing in art fans each year, this coastal-inspired art event is perfect for the whole family. Find out more about how the unique pieces of sea glass art are made in demonstrations and meet the identification experts if you have your own pieces you’d like to learn more about. Due to take place on the 1st and 2nd of June at the Lewes Historical Society.
Rehoboth Beach PRIDE Film Festival
While not strictly in Lewes, the Rehoboth Beach PRIDE Film Festival makes it well worth visiting the region. Showcasing the latest titles, features, and shorts that celebrate PRIDE month, our joint communities welcome all groups. Due to take place between the 14th and 16th of June.
Lewes Garden Tour
This year marks the 33rd annual Lewes Garden Tour, opening some of our town’s most beautiful gardens to the public. You can also find garden-related goodies at the Garden Market in Zwaanendael Park. Due to take place on the 15th of June.
July 2024
St Peter’s 58th Annual Art Show
Helping to support our local community organizations, this art event grows more popular each year. Find a variety of exhibitions and stalls, including ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, metal, photography, and many more mediums. Due to take place on the 6th of July.
August 2024
51st Annual Outdoor Fine Art & Craft Show
A major tentpole event in the summer calendar is the Rehoboth Art League’s outdoor show. Artists from across the country will pit their skills against each other for the top prize in the juried show, but it’s also a great chance to see some fantastic pieces, demonstrations, exhibitions, and more. Due to take place over two weekends: the 3rd and 4th, and the 10th and 11th of August.
